Rianna Robbins, a senior at Roncalli High School, has been recognized as one of the Green Bay Packers two nominees for The NFL’s Hispanic Heritage Foundation Youth Award.
Robbins, along with senior Kevin Mendez of Darlington High School, are nominated by the Packers due to their dedication to excellence both on and off the football field.
Robbins is the kicker for The Jets football team, having never kicked a football prior to her joining the team in week six of her junior year.
She converted the first extra point for the Jets in over five years.
Rianna is also a member of The Jets girls’ soccer team, the cheer/dance team and is involved with the school musical.
Robbins says she is driven and has a strong sense of resolve, making her, according to her coaches and teammates, an excellent asset, and a respected leader on the team.
The award is part of a joint effort between the NFL and Hispanic Heritage Foundation, who have partnered to celebrate and recognize Hispanic and Latino excellence in and around the NFL community.
The league will select eight final representatives from the clubs’ award nominees to receive scholarships and be celebrated during Pro Bowl week in early February.
In honor of their nomination, Robbins and Mendez will receive four tickets to the Packers-Chiefs game December 3rd at Lambeau Field.
