A 40-year veteran of the Kiel Fire Department is calling it a career.
Last week, Lieutenant Dave Arenz submitted his retirement paperwork to the Kiel Fire Department, ending his 40-year career, 30 of which was spent as an EMT.
In a post on Facebook, the department also noted that “nearly 20 years ago, Lieutenant Arenz led a community fundraising effort to purchase the first thermal imaging camera for the department, leading to a community impact that has been felt ever since.”
Arenz also served on other department fundraising and scholarship committees through his extensive and selfless career.
