A Sheriff’s Deputy in Door County has been arrested after allegedly physically abusing his significant other.
Jurrone Petry was detained after his girlfriend reported several instances of abuse.
She told authorities that Petry had punched her in the head multiple times, intimidated her with a stun gun, and wouldn’t allow her to leave their apartment during an argument.
She also reported one incident where the two were arguing and she said she wished he was dead.
Petry allegedly responded by giving her his gun and saying, “Shoot me.”
Petry was interviewed by investigators and he denied any wrongdoing, however, a text message was reportedly submitted into evidence which shows Petry admitting to punching the victim in the head.
Petry was arrested on charges of Battery, False Imprisonment, and Disorderly Conduct and had his bail set at $2,500 signature bond.
He is due back in court on December 1st.
