Charges have now officially been filed against a man accused of kidnapping a woman at knifepoint in Grand Chute.
51-year-old Jay Scott is facing charges of Carjacking while in Possession of a Weapon, Kidnapping, Forceful Abduction of a Child, Armed Robbery, Theft of Movable Property, and Felony Bail Jumping.
Scott allegedly forced a woman and her child into their car while wielding a knife at the Fox River Mall Monday night.
Scott then demanded the woman drive him to an ATM and took her purse, before the victims were able to escape the vehicle at a red light.
A bystander saw this happen and called 911.
The woman and her child also suffered minor injuries while escaping.
Scott was quickly arrested and had his bail set at $500,000 cash by Court Commissioner Maureen Roberts-Budiac.
