For the second time this year, TSA agents at Green Bay’s Austin Straubel Airport found a gun at the security screening checkpoint.
The weapon was found on a person looking to travel on Wednesday, September 27th.
The individual made their way to the TSA checkpoint with an unloaded firearm, which was safely confiscated, and the Brown County Sheriff’s Office was called.
It should be noted that it is legal to travel with a firearm but it must be in a checked bag and locked in a hard-sided case.
Travelers must also declare that the weapon is in the luggage at the ticket counter.
