A woman from Black River Falls, who fatally stabbed her boyfriend two years ago, has been sentenced to 10 years in prison by a judge.
Kelly Schmidt received this sentence along with an additional decade of parole.
Earlier this year, she entered a no-contest plea to charges of reckless homicide.
According to Jackson County deputies, Schmidt used a filet knife to stab her boyfriend in the arm, resulting in his death several hours later.
