Rev. Victor L. Headrick, age 69, of Sheboygan Falls, WI finished his race and went to heaven on September 24, 2023.
He was born February 12, 1954 in Saginaw, MI to the late George and Betty (Falk) Headrick. Through the waters of Baptism he became a child of God on March 25, 1954. He was confirmed on May 26, 1968. He attended High School at Michigan Lutheran Seminary graduating in 1972. He went on to Northwestern College, Watertown, WI (1972-1976) and then to Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary Mequon, WI (1976-1980).
He served the Lord as Pastor of the following congregations: St. Peter’s Lutheran Marshfield, WI and Emmanuel Lutheran Stratford, WI (1980-1986), St. John’s Lutheran Pardeeville, WI (1986-1996) and St. John’s Lutheran Newtonburg, WI (1996-2021). As a pastor he proclaimed Jesus as the Resurrection and the Life. Following retirement, the Headrick’s became members at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Howards Grove, WI.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his father-in-law, and mother-in-law (Willie and Rachel Martin).
Victor is survived by his wife of 43 years Edie, four children: Pastor Noah (Eve) Headrick Mequon, WI; Pastor Ian (Miranda) Headrick Mt Calvary, WI; Josiah (Whitney) Headrick Manitowoc, WI; and Miriam (Eli) Duero Sheboygan, WI. Eight grandchildren: Charis, Ezra, Irene, Fiona, Monroe, Elenora, Phineas, and Nolan. Sisters: Amie (Jim) Maher and Kellie (Dave) Watson, and many relatives.
Funeral services will held 4 p.m. on Sunday, October 1, 2023 at St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church, 7531 English Lake Road, Manitowoc. Officiating will be Rev. Aaron Mueller. Relatives and friends may call at St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church on Sunday from 1:30 p.m. until the time of services at 4 p.m. Following the funeral service a reception will be held at the school gymnasium. Committal services will be held privately for the family at St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church Cemetery on Monday with Rev. Micah Martin officiating.
His family loved him, but Jesus loves him more. They await the reunion with him in heaven, our sure hope through Christ.
