A manhunt is currently underway in Eau Claire County for an individual considered armed and dangerous.
The local sheriff’s department has identified the suspect as 28-year-old Mitchell Henke.
Law enforcement authorities allege that Henke is responsible for assaulting, pistol-whipping, and issuing death threats against a woman and her two-year-old child.
In an effort to apprehend Henke, the sheriff’s office enlisted the assistance of the SWAT team on Saturday night.
However, upon their arrival at Henke’s residence, he was not present. Photographs of Henke have been circulated online by the authorities.
The Sheriff’s Office is urging anyone with information regarding Henke’s whereabouts to immediately call 911.
