The Marquette County Sheriff’s Office is currently conducting an investigation into a tragic incident that occurred on the Fox River over the weekend.
According to authorities, John O’Dean, a 51-year-old resident from Illinois, was discovered deceased, suggesting a possible drowning incident in a river area located north of Portage on Saturday morning.
Officials also located a boat belonging to O’Dean in a wooded area along the western bank of the river.
The sheriff’s office is actively working to establish the circumstances surrounding this incident and the events that led to the tragic discovery.
