Manitowoc’s Representative in the State Assembly has revealed that he voted in favor of three measures passed during a recent session.
Rep. Paul Tittl tells Seehafer News that one of the measures he voted in favor of was a non-partisan redistricting bill based on the model used in Iowa.
He explained that “All around the country, states have agreed that the Iowa plan is the gold standard when it comes to redistricting… Voters want a competitive playing field, and this plan brings out the best candidates who will contribute to our legislature.”
In addition, Rep. Tittl voted for a middle class tax cut in tandem with a tax free retirement for seniors.
“Returning Your Surplus” returns nearly $3 billion in tax surplus by means of a middle-class tax cut and provides a tax exemption for retirement income.
The bill will return almost $800 back to Wisconsin families, and incentivize seniors to stay in our state.
