Several local veterans will be at the Appleton International Airport tomorrow (September 16th) as they look to raise money for Old Glory Honor Flight.
Local veteran advocate Nancy Schnell Rivera tells Seehafer News that the fundraiser known as Pulling for Honor will have over 35 teams of 20 members each taking turns pulling a 200,000-pound plane 12 feet in the quickest time.
The goal of the fundraiser is to collect $150,000 for Old Glory Honor Flight, which takes veterans on free trips around the country.
Schnell Rivera tells us that 24 Manitowoc County Veterans have already flown with the organization this year, with five more Manitowoc County Veterans participating in the Freedom to Liberty tour to NYC later this month, and four more flying to DC in October.
You can support the Manitowoc County team by visiting the Pulling for Honor 2023 page on GiveButter.com.
As of this morning, the Manitowoc County team has raised $3,050 of the over $144,000 raised in total.
