A judge has ruled that one of the girls involved in the Slender Man case is no longer obligated to wear her GPS tracker.
The judge’s announcement, made yesterday, comes as a result of Anissa Weier’s consistent compliance with the conditions of her release from a state mental hospital two years ago, indicating she no longer necessitates round-the-clock supervision.
Although Weier is no longer tethered to a GPS tracker, certain restrictions persist.
She is still required to spend each night at her father’s residence and must seek permission before leaving Waukesha County.
It’s worth noting that Weier was 12 years old when she and Morgan Geyser were involved in the tragic stabbing of another 12-year-old friend in an attempt to appease the fictional character Slender Man.
While Weier was released from state custody two years ago, Geyser remains confined to a state mental hospital, with plans to request release next year.
