The trial in a 40-year-old homicide case in Green Bay is now underway.
Starkie Swenson disappeared in August of 1983, and his body was found by hikers in a park in Calumet County in 2021.
John C. Andrews, who is now 84 years old, did serve 2 years in prison for his death, but now that Swenson’s remains have been found, Andrews is facing obstruction charges for lying to police.
The duo were allegedly a part of a love triangle leading to Andrews running over Swenson in what is described as a jealous rage.
The trial began Wednesday and is expected to last through Friday.
