Madison law enforcement is currently reviewing surveillance footage following a distressing incident in which a University of Wisconsin student fell victim to a physical and sexual assault in the early hours of Sunday morning.
The survivor is currently in critical condition but is anticipated to recover from the assault.
The incident took place in the vicinity of West Wilson and Bedford Streets, and it is believed to have been perpetrated by an unknown assailant.
In response to this alarming incident, the Madison Police Department (MPD) has escalated its patrol efforts in the area to enhance safety and security.
