Prevea and the Hospital Sisters Health System are continuing to fix their system issue which took down most of their operating system.
The outage began on August 27th, and tech crews have been working to resolve the issue ever since.
The team has issued an update, noting that as of last night, patient billing services remain suspended, but hospitals and emergency departments remain open and are receiving and treating patients who can schedule elective and non-elective procedures, and nearly all of their hospital and clinic phone lines are back in service.
That being said, the hospitals say that there may still be some phone delays or connectivity issues.
As a part of their update, Prevea and HSHS said in a statement, “We are prioritizing patient safety as we establish a process for restoration. With the support of third-party experts, we are bringing our systems back online as quickly and as safely as possible.”
