A Manitowoc man will be spending some time in prison after being convicted on his 5th OWI.
Steven G. Behnke was found guilty due to a no-contest plea on the charge and Judge Jerilyn Dietz ordered him to spend a year and a half in prison followed by three years on extended supervision along with a $600 fine.
An officer pulled Behnke over after he ran a stop light at the corner of South 10th and Washington Street in October of last year.
He subsequently failed a field sobriety test and was arrested.
Behmke was found to be eligible for the Substance Abuse and Challenge Incarceration Programs, and upon his release must maintain absolute sobriety as well as full-time employment or schooling.
