Wisconsin is in for an exceptionally scorching Labor Day weekend, with record-breaking heat anticipated across the state.
The National Weather Service is projecting sweltering conditions from Eau Claire to Green Bay, extending all the way down to Madison and Milwaukee.
Forecasts indicate that temperatures will soar into the upper 90s on Sunday, with a continuation of the heatwave into Labor Day Monday, where temperatures are expected to hover in the mid-90s.
Authorities from the Weather Service strongly advise residents to seek shelter indoors during the hottest parts of the day and ensure they stay well-hydrated by drinking ample amounts of water.
Relief from the oppressive heat won’t arrive until later in the following week, when temperatures are anticipated to return to normal.
