Controversy brews over the proposed construction of a new hotel in close proximity to Lambeau Field, drawing the ire of local residents.
At a public gathering held in Ashwaubenon yesterday, dozens of concerned citizens voiced their opposition to the design of the forthcoming Cambria Hotel & Suites.
Planners intend to erect this new hotel on Oneida Street, a mere stone’s throw away from the stadium.
Detractors argue that the hotel’s planned height and anticipated influx of guests raise valid concerns, potentially displacing some of the neighborhood’s residents.
As per the blueprints, the project envisions a 100-room hotel, complete with a rooftop deck.
The aspiration is to expedite construction so that the hotel is operational in time for the NFL Draft, slated to take place in Green Bay in 2025.
