A Milwaukee woman is facing charges after she allegedly led authorities on a high-speed chase that went through Fond du Lac County.
The incident all began at around 7:30 p.m. Saturday in Waupaca County, where a Sheriff’s deputy spotted a vehicle that had been stolen in Illinois.
The vehicle, being driven by a 37-year-old woman, fled from deputies, entering into Winnebago County and Fond du Lac County where deputies took over.
Despite attempts to pull the vehicle over and stop the chase, including the use of spike strips, the woman continued to flee.
She continued to flee through Dodge and Washington Counties where she eventually crashed into a median cable barrier and was arrested.
She was arrested on charges of Fleeing or Eluding an Officer, Second Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety, Operating a Vehicle without the Owner’s Consent, and Bail Jumping while her passenger, a 31-year-old Wauwatosa woman, is facing similar charges as well as Possession of THC, Cocaine, Fentanyl, and an Illegally Obtained Prescription.
