The unemployment numbers for July have been released.
According to the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development, Manitowoc County’s non-seasonally adjusted rate sat at 3.1% in July, which is down from June’s number of 3.5%.
However, it is a bit up from July 2022’s rate of 2.9%.
Manitowoc County’s rate is the highest in our immediate area, with Sheboygan County reporting an unemployment rate of 2.7%, Kewaunee and Calumet Counties each coming in at 2.6%, Outagamie County at 2.8%, and Brown County reporting 2.9% unemployment.
The state’s unemployment rate sits at 2.6$, slightly up from last month’s 2.5% rate, but down from June 2022’s rate of 3.0%.
