Once again, Eastern Wisconsin has stepped up to help raise money for the Maui wildfire relief efforts.
Shortly after the fires decimated the Hawaiian island, the Door County Candle Company announced the creation of a new candle called the Maui and said that 75% of the profits would be going to relief efforts.
Just over a week later, the company announced that over $30,000 has been raised to help those affected.
This is the second time the Door County Candle Company has raised funds by selling candles.
At the outbreak of the Russia/Ukraine conflict, the Ukrainian-owned business created a candle that resembled the Ukrainian flag and used profits from that to aid the Ukrainian war effort.
