Due to the sighting of a mouse, the all-inclusive playground in Oconomowoc has been temporarily closed as a precautionary measure.
On Monday, city officials announced the closure of the Imagination Station Playground until a thorough assessment can determine whether it’s an isolated mouse or a potential infestation.
The decision came after a mouse was spotted on the playground premises, prompting a report to city authorities.
While the city’s response aims to ensure safety, not everyone is in agreement with the move.
Criticism has surfaced on social media platforms, with some individuals expressing dissatisfaction over closing the entire playground due to a single mouse’s presence outdoors in a park setting.
In response to the situation, Oconomowoc has taken action by enlisting the services of an exterminator to conduct a comprehensive investigation and address the issue appropriately.
