A woman was arrested in Manitowoc over the weekend after she attempted to steal items from Meijer.
Officers arrived on the scene to find the 39-year-old suspect fleeing into the parking lot. She was quickly detained and was found to be in possession of methamphetamine.
Through the investigation, it was learned that the woman had attempted to steal a total of $227 worth of merchandise so she was taken into police custody.
The woman has been charged with Possession of Methamphetamine and eight counts of Felony Bail Jumping.
Of the eight other open cases, five of them are drug related, including charges of Possession of Methamphetamine and Fentanyl with Intent to Deliver and Manufacturing or Delivering an Amphetamine, as well as a theft case from 2021.
