A series of shootings over the weekend in Milwaukee has resulted in a tragic toll, with 13 individuals wounded and one fatality reported.
These incidents occurred within close proximity of one another. On Sunday evening, around 8:30 p.m., a shooting near 13th and Mitchell streets led to four individuals being transported to a hospital with serious injuries.
A 22-year-old male was apprehended and is currently facing pending charges in connection to this incident.
Approximately an hour later, another shooting unfolded just a couple of blocks away, near 16th and Bruce streets, claiming the life of a 56-year-old Milwaukee resident.
Law enforcement continues to search for the perpetrator responsible for this fatal incident.
This event occurred only a short distance from a mass shooting that transpired the night before, on Saturday, near 14th and Burnham streets, resulting in injuries to nine individuals.
Milwaukee police have indicated that all of the victims of that shooting are anticipated to recover.
