A Manitowoc man was arrested Thursday after he attempted to flee from police.
According to police reports, the 36-year-old man who was reported to have been delivering drugs, was seen in a vehicle parked in the Walmart parking lot.
As the officer approached, the man began to drive south on South 23rd Street, and sped off at speeds nearing 60 miles per hour.
The vehicle finally came to a stop at the dead end on the roadway, and the driver got out and began to flee on foot.
The suspect was quickly apprehended by three pursuing officers about 150 feet into a nearby field.
A search of the man uncovered several items of drug paraphernalia, so the man was taken to the Manitowoc County Jail.
He is facing charges of Fleeing or Eluding an Officer, Obstructing an Officer, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, his second or subsequent offense.
