
A Two Rivers woman accused of hitting another woman with a brick has been sentenced in a separate case.
Melissa Groothoff was found guilty due to no-contest pleas on charges of Possession of Methamphetamine and Bail Jumping, each as a repeat offender, and was ordered to spend 50 days in the Manitowoc County Jail.
She was also ordered to pay $518 in fines or spend an additional 10 days in jail.
This is one of several open cases against Groothoff, as she is also facing two counts of Manufacturing or Delivering Amphetamines, one count of Manufacturing or Delivering Narcotics, And Substantial Battery.
The battery charge stems from a March 2021 incident where she allegedly hit a woman in the head with a brick.
She is due back in court for a plea hearing in that case on September 12th.
