J’Ette Anne (Lemberger) Marlborough age 84, Manitowoc, entered eternal life on Friday August 11, 2023. She was born in Manitowoc on October 7, 1938 to Erwin and Alice (Cummings) Lemberger, growing up in Whitelaw. J’Ette attended St. Michael’s Elementary School in Whitelaw and was a 1956 graduate of Valders High School. She continued her education by graduating in 1958 from Manitowoc County Teachers College like her grandmother, mother and sisters. On June 4, 1960, J’Ette married the love of her life, Don Marlborough at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Whitelaw, WI. She received her Bachelor’s of Education Degree from Dominican College in 1973. After this she enjoyed taking care of Don, Colleen, Tom and Brigitte. J’Ette was a fabulous teacher and cared for all of her elementary students that she taught at various schools throughout her life in Forest Junction, WI, Mount Horeb, WI, Racine, WI, Hibbing, MN and Alliance, OH. J’Ette enjoyed traveling with Don, spending time with her family and friends, cooking, throwing wonderful dinner parties by bringing various groups together, lectoring in church, playing bridge, cribbage, scrabble and reading (and quoting!) the Valders Journal. She also enjoyed cheering on the Green Bay Packers, Wisconsin Badgers and Milwaukee Brewers. She most loved spending time with those who called her Granny “J”. J’Ette was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church
J’Ette is survived by her children Colleen Marlborough, Tom (Chris) Marlborough and Brigitte (Chip) Luedtke; grandchildren Jenny (Mike) Rodman, Jamie (Eric) Muscha, Kerri (Jeremy) Jentz, Sara Marlborough, Brianna Luedtke and Chelsea Logiodice; great grandchildren Michael, Colby, Jordyn, Lauren, Paige, Alyssa and Sienna; siblings Karyl (Bob) Zahorik, Pat Lemberger, Mary Alice LaCroix, Mary Ellen (Jim) Frelich, Jodelle (Dan) Wind, Terry (Sandy) Lemberger and Jerrilyn Olsen. She also was survived by three special grand dogs that loved to come and visit Remy, Dexter and Dixie. J’Ette was preceded in death by the love of her life Don; her parents Erwin and Alice; her brother Kenny Lemberger; her brothers-in-law Rich LaCroix and Fred Olsen; her nephews Steve Frelich and Jay Lemberger. J’Ette has joined her special Angelus friends Linda R., Linda K. and Mary Lou at their table in heaven.
Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Monday, August 21, 2023 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church on Waldo, 1121 N. 14th St, Manitowoc. The mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Jason Blahnik with burial to take place at Evergreen Cemetery in Manitowoc. Friends and relatives may call at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home on Sunday, August 20, 2023 from 3 pm to 5 pm then on Monday at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church on Waldo from 10 am until the time of the funeral service. At the cemetery the family will have a butterfly release to conclude the services.
