A 36-year-old Oconto man has been sentenced for his role in a 2020 overdose death.
Jason Lipp was found guilty by a jury on charges of 1stDegree Reckless Homicide by Delivery of Drugs, Possession of Heroin with Intent to Deliver, and Maintaining a Drug Trafficking Place, and has been ordered to spend 11 years in prison.
Oconto Falls Police were dispatched to an apartment building in August 2020 where they found the body of a 54-year-old man.
He was alive but unconscious when they arrived, but he later died from an overdose of a mix of drugs.
The man’s son was by his side when he was found, and told investigators that his father had arranged to meet with Lipp earlier in the day to purchase Methamphetamine.
When he hadn’t heard from his father, the son went to check on him, where he found his father unconscious.
Lipp will also spend 10 years on extended supervision upon his release.
