The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Department is reporting the death of a camper that was staying at the Breezy Hill Campground in the Town of Byron.
Deputies were sent to the campground at around 5:45 yesterday evening on a report of an individual trapped under an inflatable floating dock.
The County Dive Team arrived on the scene and began searching for the unnamed man, locating him in about 10 feet of water at around 6:30 p.m.
He was taken ashore and was treated before being taken to St. Agnes Hospital.
It was there he was pronounced dead about an hour later.
The age of the man has not been released as the incident remains under investigation.
