A Manitowoc man has been arrested for driving under the influence.
An officer with the Manitowoc Police Department was parked on South Rapids Road at around 12:30 this morning (August 9th) when he heard a vehicle revving its engine.
He used his speed gun to register the car traveling at a sped of 65 miles per hour in the 35 mph zone.
The officer pulled the vehicle over and noticed the driver, a 22-year-old man, had slurred speech and bloodshot eyes and a smell of intoxicants coming from the vehicle.
The man was taken to the Manitowoc Police Department where he failed a field sobriety test.
He was taken to a local hospital for a evidentiary blood draw and arrested on his second OWI and Felony Bail Jumping.
