Two local semi-pro football teams are back in action today as they look to punch their tickets to their respective league championships.
The Manitowoc County Mariners will be taking on a familiar foe at Manitowoc’s Rubick Field, the Brown County Blackjacks.
The Mariners have toppled the Blackjacks twice this year, but both games were close.
In game one, the Mariners snuck out a 16-12 win on the road, and just under a month ago, they won 10-6 and Rubick Field.
Today’s game kicks off at 2:00 p.m.
Meanwhile, the Sheboygan County SaberCats will be at Lakeland University as they take on The Show.
The two teams have split their season series, with each team winning on the road.
The Show dominated the Cats 40-16 at Lakeland, but the Cats rebounded to win 20-18 in the final game of the regular season.
Kickoff is scheduled for 5:00 p.m. at Lakeland, with a livestream of the game being broadcast on the Sheboygan County SaberCats Facebook page.
