The City of Manitowoc played host to six Japanese exchange students from Kamogawa.
As a part of their tour of the City, the students visited the Seehafer News Studios. We asked all of them to tell us what their favorite part of the trip had been so far, and a common theme was the food.
Wakana Seki, who attends Kisarazu High School tells us she enjoyed trying a grilled cheese sandwich, while he classmate Megumi Sudo enjoyed our local hamburgers.
The students made a trip to see Bernice, the big cow at Cedar Crest.
Sora Tsuji of Shogakukan High School and Kaho Kawana of Nagasa High School told us that was their favorite stop.
There were other aspects of the visit that were enjoyed as well, both revolving around the water. Mana Tsumamoto of Awa Higashi Junior High told Seehafer News that she enjoyed taking a dip in Lake Michigan, but admitted it was rather chilly.
And Koa Sonoda of Shigakukan High School said he enjoyed visiting the Maritime Museum, which he called “very fantastic.”
They all also got to board the S.S. Cobia, which Koa called “amazing.”
The students arrived in Manitowoc on July 30th, and will return home this coming Friday.
