Last week in Milwaukee, a tragic incident occurred where a 14-year-old accidentally shot his nine-year-old relative, resulting in the victim’s death in the parking lot of a strip mall near 76th and Mill Road.
During the investigation, the 14-year-old initially provided conflicting accounts of the events but eventually admitted that he had discovered the gun in the car’s center console and unintentionally discharged it.
Milwaukee County prosecutors are moving forward with charges against the 14-year-old, including second-degree reckless homicide, possession of a dangerous weapon by a person under 18, and obstructing an officer.
Additionally, the adult responsible for leaving the gun in the car may also face charges related to the case.
