The number of hits for each team may have been similar, but the Fond du Lac Dock Spiders came into Green Bay last night and beat up the Rockers 10-3.
The majority of the damage was done in just two innings. The Spiders plated 5 runs in the 2nd inning and 4 more in the 4th.
They tacked on their 10th run in the 6th inning for good measure.
The Rockers’ offense was led by Carlos Hernandez, who had a two-run homer in the 4th inning, one of his 3 hits on the night.
On the mound, it was pitching by committee, as seven different hurlers took turns throwing to the Spiders’ batters. Logan Lee suffered the loss as he gave up five runs in the 2nd inning.
The Rockers will look to get back above .500 since the start of the second half of the season tonight as they travel to Mequon to take on the Lakeshore Chinooks.
Christian Foutch is slated to get the start with first pitch at Kapco Park scheduled for 6:35 p.m.
