Wendy Schuler
The Vice President of Finance and Treasurer for Acuity Insurance has been named to the BizTimes Media Notable Leaders in Accounting.
Wendy Schuler, who earned her bachelor’s degree at the former Silver Lake College in Manitowoc, is one of 11 people named to the list which recognizes workers for their accomplishments in the accounting field.
In a news release, Acuity CEO Ben Salzmann prised Schuler, saying she was “a key part of the team that represented Acuity in a legal case that set a precedent in the property-casualty insurance industry.”
Acuity President Melissa Winter says that Schuler has “transcended Acuity to help set the standard of what these analyses mean in the insurance industry.”
Wendy joined the company in June 1988 as a Staff Accountant and became a Certified Public Accountant in 1993.
Over the years, she has held various positions at Acuity, including Controller – Subsidiaries, Director – Internal Audit, and Controller before being named to her current role in 2003.
