Brewer pitcher Brandon Woodruff helped the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers pick up their second win in a row last night with a 4-3 10-inning victory over the Cedar Rapids Kernels.
Woodruff, who was on his second rehab start with the Brewer affiliate, pitched 4 innings where he allowed 4 hits and 1 run while striking out 3 batters.
By the time his night was done, the Rattlers held a 2-1 lead, but that didn’t hold.
The Kernels would notch one run in the 5th inning and another in the 10th to take the lead. However, the Rattlers’ bats came alive.
Robert Moore stepped up to the plate with two on and two out, and drove a pitch to right field, scoring both runners and securing the win.
Moore drove in a total of 3 runs on the night to lead the Rattlers’ offense.
The Rattlers will look to make it three wins in a row tonight in game four of their series with the Kernels.
First pitch at Fox Cities Stadium in Appleton is scheduled for 6:40 p.m. with Tyler Woesnner slatted to pitch against Kyle Jones.
