On Wednesday night, an altercation between two men resulted in a shooting near 103rd Street and Greenfield Avenue in West Allis.
Police have not disclosed the specific reason behind the argument that led to the unfortunate incident.
According to authorities, the dispute occurred between two drivers who found themselves stopped in traffic.
Tensions escalated rapidly, and during the course of the confrontation, one of the men brandished a firearm and fired at the other driver, causing serious injuries.
Emergency services were promptly dispatched to the scene, and the wounded driver was swiftly transported to a nearby hospital for medical attention.
Medical personnel have confirmed that his injuries are not life-threatening, and he is expected to recover.
In the aftermath of the shooting, the police took the other driver into custody.
However, at this time, formal charges from the prosecutors are pending as the investigation remains ongoing.
