The Manitowoc Public Library is inviting families to their August Movie Night where they will be showing a modern Disney classic, Encanto.
The film tells the story of Maribel Madrigal, who is the lone member of her family who does not have magical powers.
However, she soon may be the Madrigal’s last hope when she discovers that the magic that infuses her family with their powers is in danger of disappearing forever.
In order to restore the power, she must get help from one member of the family, the ostracized Bruno.
The film is filled with earworm songs written by Lin-Manuel Miranda, the creator of the popular Broadway show Hamilton.
The movie is rated PG and will be shown in the Balkansy Room on August 10th, starting at 5:00 p.m. free of charge.
