
While actors and writers are striking in Hollywood, a similar situation was averted in Sheboygan County.
A new five year contract was signed by The Kohler Company and United Auto Workers Local 833.
The new contract was signed on Sunday (July 23rd), will go into effect on July 31st, and will run through July 30th, 2028.
UAW Local 833 President Tim Tayloe noted in a statement following the signing that the new agreement increased wages and retirement benefits, while Kohler will continue to be able to “hire and retain the best workers in the region.”
David Kohler, the Chari and CEO of the Kohler Company said that this agreement will help sustain both entities long term and will ensure his company will continue to offer good paying jobs with benefits the employees want.
