Taylor D. Schabusines
After months of twists and turns, the trial for a Green Bay woman accused of killing and dismembering a man last February begins today.
The trial was not a certainty even as of Friday morning, as there was one more competency hearing that day, where a state-appointed psychologist determined that Taylor Schabusiness is indeed competent to stand trial for the killing of Shad Thyrion.
Also in court Friday, the jury was selected, and it will consist of nine women and seven men.
Twelve of those jurors will be the primaries and the others will hear the case and will act as alternates.
The trial begins with opening arguments this morning and will last through Friday with Judge Thomas Walsh presiding.
