A plane traveling to Oshkosh for this week’s AirVenture festivities crashed Saturday morning.
The plane went down in the area of Highway 49 and Hemp Road in the Township of Waupun at around 8:00 a.m.
The 76-year-old pilot was able to call in his location, but crews struggled to get to the aircraft as it landed in a large marsh.
However, the pilot and his 71-year-old co-pilot were eventually pulled from the wreckage and taken to safety.
The only noted injury was to the shoulder of the pilot.
The two Texas men were about 10 minutes away from Wittman Regional Airport when the engine lost power.
The crash is still under investigation by aviation authorities.
