It was a rollercoaster finish in Madison as the Green Bay Rockers snuck out a 10-inning victory over the host Mallards 3-2.
The starters on the mound for each team played very well, leading to a scoreless tie entering the bottom of the 7th inning.
That is when the Mallards were able to break the deadlock on a single to right field.
The Rockers would bounce back in the 8th, with a sac fly by Zane Zielinski knotting it back up, and a double from Kendal Ewell plating the go-ahead run.
However, a leadoff home run in the 9th by the Mallards would tie it back up, and the game went to extra innings.
With Zukowski placed at 2nd to start the inning, Austin Fawley would crank a double to center field, scoring the eventual game-winner.
Closer Michael Riely would go 1-2-3 in the bottom half to secure the win.
Ewell and Jo-Jo- Jackson each had two hits to lead an 8-hit offensive attack, while on the mound, Kyle Stoddard would go six innings while allowing only two hits and striking out 6 batters.
Riely, in the final 4 innings, would also allow 2 hits, and each pitcher allowed a run.
The Rockers will close out a four-game road trip with another matchup in Madison.
First pitch at Warner Park is scheduled for 6:356 p.m., with Maddox Long slated to take on Andrew Guardino on the mound.
