Two massive innings by the Kokomo Jackrabbits were all it took to take down the Green Bay Rockers last night at Kokomo Municipal Stadium 17-5.
It was an off night for the Rockers’ pitching staff, as starter Christian Foutch allowed 5 runs in just over an inning of work despite only allowing two hits.
Foutch walked four batters and his team committed 5 errors.
His replacement Cooper Dossett would then allow 4 runs, two of which capped off a 7 run 2nd inning for the Jackrabbits.
Bryce Crabb stopped the bleeding in the 5th, but he was replaced by Jacob Faulkner, who allowed 5 runs on 2 hits without recording an out.
The final runs of the game were allowed by Luke Moeller, who gave up three in what ended up being an 8-run 6th.
Offensively, Nateo Matthews pelted a 3-run bomb over the right field wall in the 4th on his lone hit of the day.
AJ Anzai was the only Rocker to get more than one hit, going 2-4 and scoring a run.
Green Bay will have to have a goldfish memory, as they are back at it tonight, again in Kokomo.
Brett Sanchez is slated to get the start for the Rockers in a 7:05 first pitch.
