Daniel W. Plautz, age 55, a resident of Manitowoc, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Saturday, July 15, 2023.
Dan was born August 17, 1967, in West Bend, to the late Gordon and Carol (Meiser) Plautz. Dan attended local schools and graduated from Princeton High School in 1986. Shortly following high school, he enlisted in the United States Army. Following his service, he went on to graduate from Lakeshore Technical College with an Associate’s Degree in Information Technology and was employed as a consultant for various companies. He married Kimberly “Kim” Siedschlag on August 23, 2002, in Port Washington. They went on many adventures together traveling and playing mini-golf wherever they could. Dan was a very dedicated volunteer with many different area businesses: Peter’s Pantry, the Salvation Army Pantry, Woodland Dunes, Painting Pathways, and Hope House.
Dan is survived by his wife: Kim Plautz; one sister: Heather (Kevin) Schurrer; niece: Samantha, and her daughter Bailey; one cousin: Todd Grunwald and significant other Lori Hansel; sister-in-law: Wendi Butkovich and significant other Paul Weisbrod; father-in-law: Chuck Siedschlag; and beloved family pets.
He is preceded in death by his parents; mother-in-law: Susan “Sue” Siedschlag; his Aunt Elaine Grunwald and Aunt Marilyn and Uncle Elwood Davis.
