In less than two weeks, the skies will be a never-ending traffic jam as the annual EAA Air Adventure Fly-In returns to Oshkosh.
The flying will run from July 24 through the 30th. Dick Knapinski, communications, Director, told Seehafer news of something different for young and old spectators this year.
“We are introducing the youth welcome center because a couple of years ago in 2021, with the help from the Boeing company,” he explained. “We introduced free admission to those 18 and under to bring more families in…Cost is an important factor and we want to make it affordable for people to come in free.“
Knapinsky went on to say, “When spectators get there, there will be a youth welcome center that shows where all the youth activities are through the entire grounds.“
The World’s Greatest Aviation Celebration will have more than 90 countries fly into Oshkosh.
Over 10,000 aircraft will be flying in with stunts, aerobatics, pyrotechnics, feature films at the flying theater, and crowd, thrilling shows stopping night air shows.
With so much to see Seehafer News ask Knapinske if he had to pick one day to go what day would he suggest?
“If you are from the area or Lakeshore, make sure you come either on Wednesday the 26th or Saturday the 29th because you will see two air shows on that day,” he replied. “We will have an afternoon airshow, and a night airshow and everything we talked about will be open and available to you…Come treat yourself it’s something special and done in just a few places in the world but it’s done here in Oshkosh. You will get a full day for the price.“
It will be the busiest airport in the world, the EAA air venture in Oshkosh July 24 through the 30th.
