A Green Bay man who is not only a suspect in the killing of Patrick Ernest in Green Bay, and an attack in the Upper Peninsula, is now entering a plea in a capital murder case in Alabama.
Caleb Anderson was alleged to be involved in a three-state crime spree that took the life the Ernest, who was 65 years old, and 52-year-old Dwight Dixon in Escambia County Alabama, and included the sexual assault of an 18-year-old woman in Iron County Michigan.
Anderson entered a plea of not guilty by reason of mental disorder or disease, more commonly referred to as the insanity plea, in the killing of Dixon, where he could face the death penalty if found guilty.
A psychiatric exam has been ordered in that case, but as of now, now court dates have been scheduled to discuss the results.
Additionally, no hearings are currently scheduled in Wisconsin or Michigan for those crimes.
