A Manitowoc woman is facing charges after she illegally entered a stranger’s home and slept on her couch.
The homeowner called police at around 1:00 p.m. Sunday to report the intruder.
The woman was said to be non-compliant with the official residence and would not leave.
The officers spoke with the intruder, who told them her “feelings, senses, and energy” drew her to the house.
She then explained that she had slept outside the night before but at around 8:00 that morning, she noticed a back door was open.
She entered the sauna room and located a key to the actual residence, which is when she decided to remove her pants and underwear and take a nap on the couch.
When the resident found her, the 44-year-old woman put on a pair of pants and a sweatshirt that actually belonged to the resident.
She has since been charged with Criminal Trespass to a Dwelling, Burglary, and one count each of Felony and Misdemeanor Bail Jumping.
