The search for a man involved in a high-speed chase late last week continues in Fond du Lac County.
The Sheriff’s Office reports that a deputy attempted to stop a vehicle for a traffic violation on Highway 49 near Brandon Road in the Township of Metomen at around 10:00 a.m. Friday (July 7th), but the driver, later identified as 24-year-old Nathan Holan of Manitowoc, sped off.
During the chase, Holan crashed his car into utility pole in the Village of Brandon and began to flee on foot.
A drone team was called in to assist in the search, as was a K9 officer from the Ripon Police Department, but the search was unsuccessful.
Officials contacted the registered owner of the vehicle, Holan’s mother, who told them that her son had contacted her saying he was not going to cooperate with the officers.
Additional searches were unsuccessful, despite Holan reportedly having a broken leg from the crash.
When he is caught, Holan will be charged with Fleeing or Eluding an Officer, Resisting Arrest, Possession of Fentanyl with Intent to Deliver, Possession of Suboxone and Oxycodone, First Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety, and Felony Bail Jumping.
