The Wisconsin Timber Rattlers and Beloit Sky Carp battled for 12 innings last night, but in the end, the visiting Carp took home the win 8-6.
The Rattlers took an early 4-0 lead, but the Carp chipped away at it, scoring one run in the 2nd, 3rd, and 7th innings.
However, entering the 9th, the Rattlers still held a 5-3 lead, but Sam Gardner would blow the save opportunity by allowing a pair of runs.
Both teams would notch a run in the 11th, but Wisconsin batters couldn’t overcome a two-run 12th by the visiting Carp.
Robert Moore and Hendry Mendez each accounted for 3 of the Rattlers’ 12 hits, while Jose Acosta added 2.
The Rattlers will look to bounce back tonight in game four of their series with Beloit.
Edwin Jiminez will face Gabe Bierman on the mound at Fox Cities Stadium on a night that will also feature Kids Run the Bases and post-game fireworks.
First pitch is slated for 6:40 p.m.
