The Green Bay Rockers kicked off the second half of the Northwoods League season with a Fourth of July win over the Lakeshore Chinooks 7-6.
The Rockers took a 6-2 lead into the 6th inning in front of a home crowd but gave up four runs over the next three innings, which knotted it up 6-6 entering the bottom of the 8th.
The Rockers batters would then load the bases with a pair of singles and a walk, and Austin Fawley would take four straight balls to walk home the game winning 7th run.
Fawley was responsible for bringing home two runs in total while going 2-3 in three plate appearances while Luke Moeller drove in three runs on two hits.
The Rockers, who now hold the top spot in the Great Lakes West Division all by themselves, will once again battle the Chinooks tonight, this time on the road.
Bryce Crabb will get the start at Kapco Park in Mequon with the first pitch scheduled for 6:35 p.m.
